Hey, I’m Sarah!

My love of photography likely began with my grandparents. My nana created countless hand-annotated albums brimming with photos from throughout our life. When I was a kid, I’d pick outfits from her wardrobe and we’d set-up photoshoots. The anticipation of getting the photos developed and seeing them a week later is something I’ll never forget. My Grandpa was an amateur dramatics director and film fanatic; he recorded the entire first year of my life on camcorder for me to later watch on my 30th birthday. They gave birth to my mum, who became a professional ballet dancer. I grew up surrounded by life and romance portrayed through various forms of artistic expression - storytelling’s been in me from day one.

I picked up my first 35mm camera at 14, quickly falling in love with film and later the process of hand-printing my work in the darkroom during college. That early foundation in analogue photography still informs my practice today, even as I blend it with a thoughtful digital approach.

Before photography became my full-time focus in 2024, I spent six years teaching yoga and studying counselling and psychology. These experiences continue to shape me as both a photographer and individual who values presence, connection, and understanding.

Based in the North East of England, I find constant inspiration in the natural world and spend my spare time surfing, travelling, and searching for delicious coffee. My work has been featured in One Fab Day, IMAGE.ie, EVOKE, andVIP Magazine.

Am I the Right Photographer For You?

While I work unobtrusively, each image is carefully curated and artistically edited, ensuring your gallery reflects the emotion and atmosphere of the day in a way that feels both aesthetically beautiful and deeply personal.

In my experience, the connection between us is at the heart of capturing your day authentically. I want to get to know you both - your story, your personalities, and what makes your relationship special. That’s why I always offer the opportunity to meet as many times as you’d like before the big day, whether it’s over a casual Google Meet or in person if we’re nearby. This helps us build a connection, and it ensures I can capture your wedding in a way that feels personal and true to who you are as a couple. It’s not just about taking photos; it’s about creating memories that reflect your connection.

If you think we’d be a good fit, I’d absolutely love to hear from you.
