Sunshine, colour, and spicy margaritas for Kiera & Liam’s joyful Le Petit Château wedding in Northumberland.
Kiera and Liam’s wedding at Le Petit Château was one of those days that just glowed with happiness. It was a boiling hot day in May, and from the very start it felt like a celebration of everything and everyone they love.
Kiera had followed my work for years before reaching out — back when I wasn’t even photographing weddings full time — and from our very first messages I felt such a connection with her and Liam. We’d already had the loveliest engagement shoot together on a chilly winter’s day in Seaton Sluice, so stepping into their wedding day I knew it was going to be something special.
The heat meant the celebrations spilled out onto the terrace all day long. Guests arrived in the most vibrant, colourful outfits, and between games of boules and rounds of spicy margaritas, the atmosphere was full of joy and laughter. With the sun blazing, the music drifting, and glasses clinking on the terrace, it almost felt like we’d been transported to the South of France — except we were right there in the middle of Northumberland. Kiera designed all the flowers herself, including her own bouquet, which was such a beautiful and personal touch and the colours she chose fit so perfectly with the vibrant gardens of the venue.
As the day moved into the evening, the speeches were heartfelt and moving, before everyone piled onto the dance floor. It was packed with energy, from little siblings twirling around to grandparents dancing the night away. Being there to capture it all felt like being part of something really personal — the kind of wedding that stays with you long after the day itself..
