A wildly fun day full of heart and lots of laughter for Martha & Reece’s Newcastle City Centre wedding.

Martha and Reece’s Newcastle wedding was bursting with love, laughter, and the kind of chaos that makes a wedding day unforgettable. It began with the wedding party arriving in VW cars ahead of their ceremony at St Mary’s Cathedral in Newcastle, before everyone piled onto a red London bus to head across the city to The Secret Tower — already setting the tone for a fun and joyful day.

Martha’s dress was incredible — a bespoke design she had created herself back in 2011 and brought to life earlier this year by Raffi from The Little Seamstress — and it felt so perfectly her. One of my favourite moments of the whole day was when she and Reece slipped away to the Newcastle Quayside to share their private vows. With the River Tyne as their backdrop, it was quiet, emotional, and so full of love — a small pause in an otherwise buzzing celebration.

The reception that followed was full of energy, with heartfelt speeches, an electric dancefloor, and the warmth of their families coming together. Photographing it reminded me of why I love weddings in Newcastle and the North East — the sense of home, history, and community woven into every moment. Being there with them felt less like work and more like being part of something really personal and joyful.
