Sunshine, festival energy, and woodland magic at this North Yorkshire wedding for Sarah & Tom in the colourful woodland setting of Camp Katur.

Sarah and Tom’s Camp Katur wedding was one of those days that just felt like pure sunshine — literally and figuratively. We first met during their engagement shoot in Northumberland, so seeing them again to capture their wedding day in North Yorkshire felt extra special.

It happened to be the hottest day of the year, which gave their woodland ceremony this hazy, golden, fairytale atmosphere. Guests made their way to the ceremony site over the fields, and in the final steps to their seats stopped to read the personalised quotes Sarah and Tom had hand written and hung on the trees. Standing among the woodland while they exchanged vows, with their friends and family gathered close, felt so relaxed and personal — and so completely them. Guests were fanning themselves with sunglasses perched on their heads, and there was a sense of joy and laughter running through every part of the day.

As the sun dropped, the celebrations flowed over into the evening with more dancing, more laughter, and that laid-back, festival vibe carrying through until the very end. Tom and Sarah designed all of the wedding stationary for their day, from the name cards and table plan to the welcome signs and guest board. It was one of those weddings that made me stop and think about how lucky I am to do this — to be welcomed into such a happy, sun-soaked day and capture it all.
